氣動(dòng)撐桿又稱(chēng)氣彈簧，在背門(mén)上既承擔(dān)著開(kāi)閉時(shí)的助力且維持舉力不變的作用，又扮演著限位器的角色。在背門(mén)開(kāi)閉過(guò)程中，它通過(guò)密閉空腔內(nèi)液氣混合體的相互轉(zhuǎn)化來(lái)提供一個(gè)助力作用，同時(shí)舉力不變，使得背門(mén)可停留在任何位置；當(dāng)背門(mén)開(kāi)到大位置時(shí)，為了防止外板與頂蓋發(fā)生干涉，同時(shí)限制背門(mén)的大開(kāi)度，使得車(chē)門(mén)開(kāi)啟到大位置時(shí)停留在原地，不至自動(dòng)關(guān)閉，此時(shí)氣動(dòng)撐桿擔(dān)任了限位器的角色。
在氣動(dòng)撐桿的布置過(guò)程中必須注意的問(wèn)題有：
(1)安裝位置必須正確，不得倒裝；安裝點(diǎn)應(yīng)盡量靠近過(guò)重心的水平線(xiàn)，使后背門(mén)受力盡量合理(背門(mén)重力不變，靠近后力臂變小，力矩也跟著變小)；
(2)大小合理，有效行程在滿(mǎn)足使用要求情況下盡可能的小，以減小氣動(dòng)撐桿在背門(mén)上的布置空間；
(3)在背門(mén)開(kāi)閉過(guò)程中其不應(yīng)受到傾斜力或橫向力作用，且不得當(dāng)扶手用；
(4)為確保密封的可靠性，不得破壞活塞桿表面，嚴(yán)禁將油漆和化學(xué)物質(zhì)等涂在活塞桿上，也不允許將氣彈簧先安裝在所需位置，后噴、涂油漆；
(5)活塞桿嚴(yán)禁向左旋轉(zhuǎn)，如需要調(diào)整接頭方向，只能向右轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)(避免腔內(nèi)氣體流失)。這點(diǎn)在對(duì)氣動(dòng)撐桿的安裝時(shí)，極為重要；
(6)環(huán)境溫度一般為-35℃—60℃，在后背門(mén)安裝中，要避免和高溫物體(如各類(lèi)電機(jī)等)的接近；
(7)連接點(diǎn)，應(yīng)轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)靈活，不能有卡阻現(xiàn)象，不允許發(fā)生干涉而對(duì)氣動(dòng)撐桿的筒臂造成擠壓。
